Billy Elliot the Musical has been seen by almost 12 million people across five continents and collected over 80 awards in its lifetime. It played for over 11 hugely successful years in London’s West End and went on multiple international tours.
Set in a northern town during the miners’ strike of 1984/5, the show follows Billy’s journey from boxing ring to ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that unites his family, inspires his community and changes his life forever. After nearly 12 years away, Billy Elliot The Musical is set to dance back onto the West End stage. Since its debut, the production has been seen by over 10.5 million people worldwide and has collected more than 80 international awards, including ten Tony Awards and five Olivier Awards. Inspired by the beloved film, the musical follows young Billy’s transformation from aspiring boxer to gifted ballet dancer against the backdrop of the 1984–85 miners’ strike, reshaping both his life and the community around him.

Billy Elliot the Musical today (16 November 2015) welcomes Euan Garrett, 12 years old from East Lothian, Scotland, who will make his West End stage debut at the Victoria Palace Theatre as the forty-second boy to play the title role in the iconic British musical in London. Also joining the cast today is Matthew Seadon-Young who will play Billy’s older brother Tony.

Billy Elliot The Musical has had a busy couple of weeks at the Victoria Palace Theatre! On 12th May the production celebrated its tenth birthday with a special gala performance which saw six Billys unite onstage as well as previous cast members who returned for a spectacular finale!
